$500 Serene ‘Name Game’ Winner – ‘Serene Cuizine’
Huge congratulations goes out to Ms Flora Christofferson, Winner of the Serene Living ‘Name Game’ Competition!
Mrs Christofferson was the lucky winner of the $500 Serene Living ‘Name Game’ Competition, naming the new Serene Living Cafe and Coffee Shop.
The winning name – ‘Serene Cuizine’, was a clever and witty entry from Mrs Christofferson that the Director’s really felt suited the cafe, and loved the rhyming syncopation of ‘Se-rene, Cui-zine’.
Mrs Christofferson’s entry was originally shortlisted from several hundred entries, before being crowned the overall winner.
Grand Opening Postponed
Serene Management was hoping to fly Mrs Christofferson up to Tweed Heads from her home town to cut the red ribbon for the grand opening of the ‘Serene Cuizine’ Cafe and Coffee Shop.
Unfortunately the opening was scheduled for the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic outbreak in March 2020 and therefore had to be cancelled. To make sure that resident safety was secured over the initial months of the pandemic (and meals had to be available for residents without leaving the Village,) the ‘Serene Cuizine’ Cafe was opened regardless. Management hope the grand opening can take place at a later date.
We were most delighted to receive the following note and photo from our lovely winner, who we are sure will enjoy the prize!
